Eurowave is a machine that creates instant, specific inch-loss using Electro Muscle Stimulation, or EMS.  Eurowave has been in use in the U.K. for over 25 years and in Canada for over 10 years.  The Eurowave is CSA approved making it a safe, effective treatment to improve the tone and shape of bodies.

There are three types of Electro Muscle Stimulation equipment:

personal (low voltage or battery powered)

professional ( 110/220 volt)

medical (stationary)

Personal equipment or portable EMS devices stimulate already developed muscle bundles.  The low voltage is usually enough to keep muscles in a toned condition, but not enough to actually build new muscle.

Professional EMS equipment, such as the Eurowave, improves the appearance of cellulite, creates inch-loss, lifts and body shaping. 

Medical EMS has always existed in hospitals, chiropractic and physiotherapy locations to be used in cases of nerve damage, pain, or post accident rehablilitation.

All three types of EMS are united under the same concept: the healing and strengthening influence of electro currents applied to a human body.

Electro Muscle Stimulation is a very safe and simple procedure.  Micro currents are applied to the muscle fibers of a treated area, stimulating them to contract.  Basically, EMS is an extensive fitness therapy; 15 minutes of EMS equals 48 hours of nonstop gym exercise.  Besides firming muscles, EMS also increases the metabolism, fluid circulation and oxygenation of a treated area, making it an effective tool to improve the appearance of cellulite.

The Medical Advisory Committee has allowed the use of EMS systems by athletes since the 1972 Olympics.  Bodybuilders, professional athletes, physiotherapists and sports doctors use EMS systems to supplement regular workout routines.  Many doctors use EMS units to rehabilitate muscles following injury and to ease patients' chronic spasms and pain.

EMS treatment programs provide what is not possible to get by dieting, going to fitness centers, or using portable EMS equipment: a boost in body-shaping results.  Most athletics persons agree that it's difficult to maintain a perfect and natural body shape.  However, getting this perfect shape is much harder than keeping it.  EMS can rapidly do both: create a figure and support it.
